Along this itinerary there are some great views of Mieussy, the entrance to the Giffre Valley and Mont Orchez. The Church of Mieussy is immediately recognisable thanks to its onion dome and then the Gothic-style gate, classified a historic monument. The walk then continues through the forest before reaching Saint Grat Chapel (1697) at an altitude of 850m. The Chapel is dedicated to the Holy Family and to Saint Grat, protector of crops. Stop for a break on a small bench for a fantastic view of the Alps. Come back along the same route. If you’re feeling brave you could carry on to the Roche-Pallud / Sommand pastures along a very steep stone path that dates back to the Middle Ages.
